I spent the days leading up to that election in Pensacola, Florida- a place riddled with Trump supporters. The next morning was surreal, and no one (from either side) seemed quite sure what to make of it all.
An interesting and layered take on the song. I bought LAGWAFIS purely on the basis of the packaging: prior to this i hadn't heard a single note by Spiritualized. Mind blown, much as it was when Trump won. The sense of futility in the song perfectly matched the mood amongst all sensible people that day.
