Agree! Women are pressured to disclose who the subjects are of their lost love. Joni, Carly, Dolly to name so very few. Sundown by Lightfoot, Hallelujah by Cohen... does the music of men often earn the title of "break-up album"?
I think it really has to be some break-up for a man's album to be called that! Blood on The Tracks is probably the go to claimant but as Blue and Rumours are probably the other top three that does suggest that it might be one area with an even gender split!
