What amazing cover art! I imagine it only exists on the internet and/or a tiny CD jewel case (a cassette tape inlay?). If it was released on LP, yay for 12x12" art!
I have a 12*12 vinyl copy with a large surface area for you to pour over the details. Even better though, if you go to the Gemäldegalerie art museum in Berlin, you can see 'Netherlandish Proverbs', the Pieter Bruegel the Elder painting it is taken from!
The last sentence you wrote perfectly encapsulates the album for me. It kept getting CSNY comparisons but I felt those to be surface level. I thought FF were not so much throwback or hippie sounding as that comparison elicits for me.
Wonderful song...and I remember the same "pin-drop" atmosphere when they played it at the United Palace Theater in NYC on the Helplessness Blues tour.
