I love this Substack and recommend it whenever I can. Also love your writing. I don't love the end of a good album because then it's over, but it sure is fun to examine those final songs. To many years more!
Hi Mitchell, I'm a recent subscriber, but as an 'old school' album enthusiast, who thinks the running order of a record is crucial I'm really enjoying the posts and debates around final tracks. Congratulations on getting to the end of your first year, but with so many 'final cuts' yet to review there should be many more to come.
PS Relatively I'm a novice, my music themed novel has only been live for two months, serialised on Substack at https://challenge69.substack.com
It has a very similar aesthetic (of musical obsession) to 'The Run Out Grooves' so here's hoping you (or some of your readers) might consider signing up. I think you'd love the story, and it might help me get to a similar milestone.
Hi Tim, thanks for your kind words, and I look forward to checking out your Substack as well. 2023 will be a fun year over here, but more on that in a few weeks' time.
Thanks for signing up to read my book Mitchell (I'll reply to your subscription by email), and I look forward to hearing your plans. What can follow a final track?!
Happy 1st Birthday, Mitchell! Here's to many more! 🍻
I second your emotion, Leo! Happy Birthday to Mitchell and, indeed, here's to Minnie Moore (whoever she is)!🍺
